The patientMpower app has a useful feature which identifies the quality of the air in your exact location. This is useful if you have a respiratory condition and want to know more about the air you are breathing and the possible health implications.

Note: Location services must be enabled to use this feature.

Follow the steps below to use the Air Quality Indicator feature:

  1. When you open the app, your Air Quality Indicator will automatically update if you have your location permission enabled. If not, you can click to enable location permission in your phone or tablet's settings.

  2. The Air Quality Index for your location will then appear. It is ranked from "Good" to "Hazardous". You can learn more about the Air Quality Index by clicking here.

  3. To get additional info, tap on the question mark icon.

  4. The pop up screen will give you the Air Quality Index figure and tell you more about the air pollution level, the health implications and a cautionary statement.
