Your BodyTrace scale connects to the patientMpower app via a cellular connection. You do not need to pair the scales to your app.

To take a measurement:

  1. Remove your shoes and any heavy clothing you may be wearing.

  2. Step up on the scales and remain still.

  3. Wait for the device to power on and perform the measurement. Your weight will then appear on the screen.

  4. Step off the scales.

  5. The device automatically transmits measurement results. During this process an indicator is shown in the middle of the display.

  6. When the measurement has been successfully transmitted, the device shows the indication below before powering off. This process shouldn't take longer than a minute.

Your weight measurement is now complete and has been sent to your clinical care team for monitoring.

Important Notes

  • Your first reading will be slow to transmit the data. This is because the scales is registering on the cellular network in your area.

  • If you wish to abort the measurement, simply step off the glass platform.

  • The default measurement units on the device is pounds (lbs). Your clinical care team may have changed this to kilograms (kg). If so, the first time you step on the scales it will display in lbs, but the second time onwards it will display in kg.

  • If you would like to change the measurement units, please contact our Support Team to request this by emailing support@patientmpower.com or by using the chat function in your app.
