Please note: Bluetooth on your mobile/tablet must be switched on at all times to take an oximeter reading.

  1. Open the patientMpower app.

  2. Press the red ➕ button at the bottom of the screen.

  3. In the menu that appears, press Add Pulse Ox.

  4. The following screen will appear with the message Waiting for connection. Place the oximeter on the tip of your middle finger with your palm and the oximeter screen facing you. The oximeter screen should light up.

  5. Once a connection is made, the app will start taking a measurement from the oximeter. This will take a few seconds.

  6. Your results will then appear on the screen with a Data added successfully message. Your oxygen saturation result will be a percentage and your pulse rate will be in beats per minute (BPM). You will be asked if you were taking oxygen while taking the measurement. Answer this question to proceed.

Your oximeter reading is now complete! If you are connected to a hospital, these results will automatically be sent across to your clinical care team for monitoring.
