You will first have to unbox your Nonin 3230 Bluetooth oximeter. You will find two AAA batteries included.
Slide the battery door off the back of the device as shown below.
Insert the two AAA batteries. The batteries don't insert as expected so please take care to match the polarity markings (+ and -).
Please note: The two batteries face in the opposite direction.
Slide the battery door back on the device.
Connecting your oximeter to the patientMpower app

Ensure Bluetooth on your smartphone/tablet device is turned on.
Open the patientMpower app to view Today's actions. Select the Start button located next to the Oxygen Saturation slot.
Select Using Smart Device.
4. If you have an Android device you may be asked to share your device's location. You will need to allow this in order to pair your oximeter.
5. To turn on your oximeter, you must place it on your middle finger with your palm and the oximeter screen facing you. The screen should then light up.
6. Once the oximeter is switched on it will be discoverable through Bluetooth. The device should show up as Nonin3230_XXXX on your screen.
7. Locate your device name and click Connect. Your oximeter is now connected to the patientMpower app! Once paired, your oximeter will automatically read and record your measurements.
For the best app experience, we recommend keeping your Bluetooth switched on at all times. This will not cause you any extra data usage or network costs.
